Beasts of Extraordinary Circumstance is a thrilling, heart-warming, whimsical story. It is all the more impressive when one considers that it is the author’s debut novel. Ruth Emmie Lang has crafted a superbly rendered modern day fairy tale, brimming with magical realism and full of heart. Beasts of Extraordinary Circumstance is one of my favorite novels to date. Heather, the Totality: a Book Review

I just finished watching Mad Men in its’ entirety for the third time in my life, and I can say that it is still my favorite show in the history of television. That is to say, my personal history of watching television. After I finished the last episode, I had what I’m calling a “Mad Men hangover.” I couldn’t think about anything else for a good two days, couldn’t commit to a new book or binging yet another show on Netflix.
